§ 36-65. Definitions.

(1) "World War II veteran," as used in this chapter, means any resident ofVirginia who was a member of the armed forces of the United States at anytime during the recent war with Germany and Japan, who has been, or who shallhereafter be, discharged or retired from such war service under conditionsother than dishonorable.

(2) "Housing authority," as used in this chapter, means any corporationheretofore or hereafter created under the general laws of this Commonwealthwhich has been or hereafter shall be authorized by any political subdivisionthereof, for the purpose of constructing, renting, or otherwise acquiringhousing, and managing or administering the same on a low cost, nonprofitbasis.
