§ 37.2-414. Cure by mental or spiritual means without use of drugs ormaterial remedy.

Nothing contained in this article shall be construed to authorize or requirea license of a provider to establish, maintain and operate, or have charge ofany service for the care and treatment of persons by the practice of thereligious tenets of any church in the ministration to the sick and sufferingby mental or spiritual means without the use of any drug or material remedy,whether gratuitously or for compensation, provided the statutes andregulations on sanitation and safety are complied with.
