§ 37.2-827. Admission of aliens.

Whenever any person is admitted to a state facility, the Commissioner shallinquire forthwith into the nationality of the person. If it shall appear thatthe person is an alien, the Commissioner shall notify immediately the UnitedStates immigration officer in charge of the district in which the statefacility is located.

Upon the official request of the United States immigration officer in chargeof the territory or district in which is located any district court judge orspecial justice certifying or ordering the admission of any alien to a statefacility, the clerk of the court shall furnish, without charge, a certifiedcopy in duplicate of any record pertaining to the case of the admitted alien.This information shall be deemed confidential.
