The Commission may establish guidelines for the filing of simplified andreadable motor vehicle insurance policy forms that are acceptable forissuance. Notwithstanding the provisions of §§ 38.2-2218 through 38.2-2223,an insurer may issue a motor vehicle insurance policy that deviates inlanguage, but not in substance or coverage, from the standard policy formprovided for in §§ 38.2-2218 through 38.2-2223, if the deviating policy formis (i) in no respect less favorable to the insured than the standard form,and (ii) approved by the Commission prior to issuance.
