The Director may appoint technical specialists in the areas of roof control,electricity, ventilation and other mine specialties. Technical specialistsshall have all the qualifications of a mine inspector plus such specializedknowledge in their field as may be required. Technical specialists shalladvise the Director and mine operators in the areas of their specialty.Technical specialists shall have the power of an inspector to issue a closureorder only in cases of imminent danger.
