§ 45.1-161.173. Inspection of electric illumination equipment.

All lamps, extension lights and permissible portable illumination such as caplamps and flashlights that are used for personal illumination undergroundshall be inspected by an authorized person at least once per week, and moreoften if necessary, to ensure safe operating conditions. Such equipmentlocated at the surface shall be inspected by an authorized person at leastonce per month, and more often if necessary, to ensure safe operatingconditions. Any defect found shall be corrected.
