§ 45.1-385. Using or revealing information gathered.

Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, neither the StateGeologist, nor any employee or agent of the Division, shall make use of orreveal any proprietary information or statistics gathered from any source forany purpose or purposes other than those of this chapter, except with theexpress written consent of the source of such information or statistics.Neither shall the State Geologist reveal such information to the Director orany other employee of the Department who is not employed within the Division.
