§ 46.2-109. Reports by persons in charge of garages and repair shops;vehicles equipped with bullet-proof glass or smoke projectors or struck bybullets.

The person in charge of any garage or repair shop to which is brought anymotor vehicle equipped with bullet-proof glass or any smoke screen device orthat shows evidence of having been struck by a bullet shall report inwriting, on forms furnished by the Superintendent of State Police, to thenearest police station or to the State Police, within twenty-four hours afterthe motor vehicle is received, the engine number, registration number, serialnumber or identification number, and the name and address of the owner oroperator of the vehicle if known.
