§ 46.2-1222.2. Local ordinances prohibiting parking of certain vehicles.

The governing body of any county, city, or town may by ordinance limit to nomore than two hours the length of time of parking on streets, adjacent tocommercial business areas, of vehicles with gross weights in excess of 12,000pounds or lengths of 30 feet or more, unless such vehicles are activelyengaged in loading or unloading operations or waiting to be loaded orunloaded or are engaged in or preparing to engage in utility or similarservice work.
