§ 46.2-1503.1. Board to employ Executive Director.

The Board shall employ an executive director who shall serve at the pleasureof the Board. He shall direct the affairs of the Board and keep records ofall proceedings, transactions, communications, and official acts of theBoard. He shall be custodian of all records of the Board and perform suchduties as the Board may require. The Executive Director shall call a meetingof the Board at the direction of the chairman or upon written request ofthree or more Board members. The Executive Director, with approval of theBoard, may employ such additional staff as needed. The annual salary of theExecutive Director shall be at Level II of the Executive Compensation Plancontained in the Appropriation Act.
