§ 46.2-2822. Examination.

The Board shall set the necessary standards to be attained in theexaminations to entitle the candidate to receive a license as a Class A orClass B operator.

Such examinations shall be given at times and offered electronically so as tomake such examinations convenient and accessible to applicants.

The examination shall include laws and regulations governing the towing andrecovery of vehicles and the proper and safe means by which such may beoffered to the public.

The Board may accept appropriate national examinations in lieu of, in wholeor part, an examination prescribed by the Board.

Those persons who own and operate a towing and recovery business on January1, 2006, shall not be required to successfully complete an examination as aprerequisite for obtaining a license as an operator.
