§ 46.2-376. Report required of person in charge of garage or repair shop.

The person in charge of any garage or repair shop to which is brought anymotor vehicle (i) that shows evidence of having been involved in a seriousmotor vehicle accident or (ii) with evidence of bloodstains shall report tothe nearest police station or to the State Police, within twenty-four hoursafter the motor vehicle is received, giving the engine number, registrationnumber and the name and address of the owner or operator of the vehicle ifknown. Reports required by this section shall be made upon forms furnished bythe Superintendent of State Police.
