§ 46.2-450. Order discharging lien of bond.

On satisfactory proof that the bond filed with the Commissioner as providedfor in this chapter has been cancelled and that there are no claims orjudgments against the principal in the bond on account of damage to propertyor injury to or death of any person or persons resulting from the ownership,maintenance, use, or operation of a motor vehicle of the principal causedwhile the bond was in effect, the court in which the bond was admitted torecord may enter an order discharging the lien of the bond on the real estateof the sureties thereon, upon their petition and at their proper cost.
