§ 46.2-935. Regulation by ordinance in counties, cities, and towns.

The governing bodies of counties, cities, and towns may enact ordinancesrequiring pedestrians to obey signs and signals erected on highways thereinfor the direction and control of traffic, to obey the orders oflaw-enforcement officers engaged in directing traffic on such highways, andmay provide penalties not exceeding those of a traffic infraction.
