§ 47.1-17. Change of name.

Any notary duly registered and commissioned in this Commonwealth, who shalllegally change his name during his term of office as a notary shall, aftersuch change of name, when performing any notarial act, have written orprinted in or annexed to each certificate the words: "I was commissionednotary as . . . . . . . .," or the equivalent. However, any electronicnotary public who shall legally change his name shall make application withthe Secretary for a new electronic notary commission within 90 days of suchlegal name change.
