§ 51.1-140. Prior service credit statement.

Upon becoming an employee, each member shall file with the Board a statementdescribing all prior service as an employee and any other information theBoard may require. Upon review of the statement, the Board shall ascertainthe amount of prior service to which the member is entitled. The Board maymodify its decision upon application of the member or discovery of materialerror or fraud. Until the statement is filed, no member or beneficiary of amember shall be eligible to receive any benefits.
