§ 52-6. Appointment of additional police officers.

The Superintendent of State Police, with the approval of the Governor, shallhave authority to appoint additional police officers, who may or may not beresidents of this Commonwealth, to serve for specified periods of time. Thepolice officers so appointed shall receive such compensation as theSuperintendent shall approve. Such police officers shall have the same powersand perform the same duties as the regular police officers appointed by theSuperintendent.
