§ 53.1-92. Disposition of money collected from United States or othercounties, cities or towns.

All moneys so collected by such sheriff from the United States or from anysuch county, city, town, state or country shall be promptly paid into thetreasury of his county or city. The total amount so collected shall beretained by such county or city. All moneys so collected by jailsuperintendents shall be promptly paid into the treasury of the regional jailauthority or, if none, the body responsible for the fiscal management of theregional jail.
