§ 53.1-146. Use of officers as to persons convicted of local violations;payment of expenses.

Upon request of the governing body of a county, city or town, the probationand parole officer shall perform the same duties and have the same powers asto persons convicted for violations of ordinances of the county, city or townas he has as to persons violating laws of the Commonwealth. The county, cityor town so using the services of a probation and parole officer shall pay apro rata part of his expenses to be arrived at by mutual agreement betweenthe local governing body and the Department.
