§ 55-525.27. (Effective October 1, 2010) Record retention requirements.

The settlement agent shall maintain sufficient records of its affairs so thatthe appropriate licensing authority may adequately ensure that the settlementagent is in compliance with all provisions of this chapter. The settlementagent shall retain records pertaining to each settlement handled for aminimum of five years after the settlement is completed. The appropriatelicensing authority may prescribe the specific record entries and documentsto be kept.
