§ 57-27. City of Richmond may prohibit burials in certain cemeteries.

The governing body of the City of Richmond may, by ordinance, prohibit theburial of dead bodies in the cemeteries known as Ham's, Cedarwood, Methodist,Union Mechanics', Ebenezer, and Sycamore cemeteries, respectively, and may bysuch ordinance provide for penalties for violations of the same by fine notexceeding fifty dollars, or imprisonment in jail not exceeding six months.
