§ 6.2-1543. (Effective October 1, 2010) Civil penalties.

The Commission may impose a civil penalty not exceeding $10,000 upon anylicensee who it determines, in proceedings conducted in accordance with theCommission's Rules, has violated any provision of this chapter or of anyregulation or order of the Commission, either knowingly or without theexercise of due care to prevent the violation. In any proceeding under thissection, a licensee shall not be penalized for any act or omission done inreasonable reliance on any regulation, order, letter, or other writtendirective or request of the Commission.
