§ 6.2-2213. (Effective October 1, 2010) Annual fees.

A. In order to defray the costs of their examination, supervision, andregulation, every licensee under this chapter shall pay an annual feecalculated in accordance with a schedule set by the Commission. The scheduleshall bear a reasonable relationship to the business volume of suchlicensees, the actual costs of their examinations, and other factors relatingto their supervision and regulation. All such fees shall be assessed on orbefore September 15 for every calendar year. All such fees shall be paid bythe licensee to the State Treasurer on or before October 15 following eachassessment.

B. In addition to the annual fee prescribed in subsection A, when it becomesnecessary to examine or investigate the books and records of a licensee underthis chapter at a location outside the Commonwealth, the licensee shall beliable for and shall pay to the Commission within 30 days of the presentationof an itemized statement, the actual travel and reasonable living expensesincurred on account of its examination, supervision, and regulation, or shallpay at a reasonable per diem rate approved by the Commission.
