§ 6.2-609. (Effective October 1, 2010) Change of form of account upon writtenorder to financial institution.

The provisions of § 6.2-608 as to rights of survivorship are determined bythe form of the account at the death of a party. This form may be altered bywritten order given by a party to the financial institution to change theform of the account or to stop or vary payment under the terms of theaccount. The order or request shall be signed by a party, received by thefinancial institution during the party's lifetime, and not countermanded byother written order of the same party during his lifetime.
