§ 62.1-105. Impoundment of diffused surface waters.

Diffused surface waters may be captured and impounded by the owner of theland on which they are present and, when so impounded, become the property ofthat owner. Such impoundment shall not cause damage to others; however, theowner of land on which an impounding structure as defined in § 10.1-604 is tobe located shall comply with the rules and regulations of the State WaterControl Board.
