§ 63.2-914. (For contingent effective and expiration dates, see Editor'snote) "A Place of My Own" Program; Department to develop.

The Department shall take steps to identify and work together withfaith-based, volunteer, private, and community-based organizations to developand implement a program, to be known as the "A Place of My Own" Program(Program), to seek and accept donations and coordinate the distribution ofluggage for children in foster care. The Department may accept grants, gifts,donations, and bequests to support the activities of the Program pursuant tothis section.

There is hereby created a special nonreverting fund to be known as the "APlace of My Own" Program Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "Fund." TheFund shall be established on the books of the Comptroller, and shall consistof grants, donations, and bequests from private sources. Such moneys shall bedeposited into the state treasury to the credit of the Fund and shall be usedsolely to support the activities of the Program, pursuant to this section.Any moneys remaining in the Fund, including interest thereon, at the end ofeach fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund but shall remain in theFund. The Fund shall be administered by the Department of Social Services.
