§ 64.1-76. Residence of patient in nursing home, convalescent home, etc.

Where any person has because of advanced age or impaired health eithervoluntarily or involuntarily become a patient in a nursing home, aconvalescent home, or a similar institution, the place of legal residence ofsuch person shall be presumed to be the same as it was before he became sucha patient; provided, however, that such presumption may be rebutted bycompetent evidence.
