§ 65.2-1309. Employment of Committee staff; contracts for services; rules andregulations.

Subject to the approval of the Commission, the Statewide CoordinatingCommittee shall have the authority to employ a staff and to contract with anyorganization in order to operate the utilization review program in any healthsystems area. Subject to the approval of the Commission, the Committee shallhave the authority to adopt and amend such rules and regulations as may benecessary to implement the utilization review and peer review programsprovided for in this chapter.
