§ 66-16. Acceptance and expenditure of certain funds for children committedto Department.

The Department is authorized to accept and expend for the benefit of anychild committed to it, or for reimbursement purposes, any funds madeavailable from any source, solely for the current maintenance and support ofany such child, whether such funds be provided by the child's parents, orother person, or by the Veterans Administration, the Railroad Retirement Act,the old age and survivor's insurance provisions of the federal SocialSecurity Act, as amended, or from any other source. In no event shall thesums so accepted exceed an amount in excess of the cost to the Department ofsupporting the child.
