§ 9.1-129. Participation of state and local agencies in interstate system;access to system limited.

A. The Board shall regulate participation of state and local agencies in anyinterstate system for the exchange of criminal history record information andshall be responsible for ensuring the consistency of such participation withthe terms and purposes of this article. The Board shall have no authority tocompel any agency to participate in any such interstate system.

B. Direct access to any such system shall be limited to the criminal justiceagencies expressly designated for that purpose by the Board.
