12.3 RECORD AND PAYMENT OF WARRANTS.
The treasurer of state shall keep a record of warrants issued as
certified by the director of the department of administrative
services, and receive in payment of public dues the warrants so
issued in conformity with law, and redeem the same, if there be money
in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, and on receiving any such
warrant shall cause the person presenting it to endorse it, and shall
indicate on its face in a suitable manner that it has been redeemed,
and keep a record of warrants redeemed showing the name of the person
to whom paid, date of payment, and amount of interest paid.
