8A.508  COMPELLING PAYMENT.
 If an officer fails to pay into the state treasury the amount
 received by the officer within the time prescribed by law, or having
 settled with the director, fails to pay the amount found due, the
 director shall charge the officer with twenty percent damages on the
 amount due, with interest on the aggregate from the time the amount
 became due at the rate of six percent per annum, and the whole may be
 recovered by an action brought on the account, or on the official
 bond of the officer, and the officer shall forfeit the officer's
 commission.
