469.33 FEDERAL BIOMASS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS -- AUTHORIZATION. The Iowa power fund board, the office of energy independence, and other appropriate state agencies, shall cooperate with federal agencies and participate in federal programs including but not limited to programs under the federal Biomass Research and Development Act of 2000, 7 U.S.C. § 7624 et seq., in order to provide for the production of cost-competitive industrial products derived from biomass, including but not limited to renewable fuels, such as cellulosic biomass renewable fuels or biobased materials and biobased products, and associated agricultural or industrial coproducts which promise to provide environmentally benign product life cycles, promote rural economic development, and diversify energy resources.
