505.30 SERVICE OF PROCESS -- FEE. The commissioner of insurance, pursuant to rules adopted pursuant to chapter 17A, may collect a reasonable fee each time process is served on the commissioner as allowed by law. Fees collected by the commissioner under this section shall be used and are appropriated to the insurance division to offset the costs of receiving such service of process. The party to a proceeding causing service of process is entitled to recover this fee as costs if the party prevails in the proceeding.
