516E.20 APPLICATION OF INSURANCE LAWS. The sale of a service contract under this chapter shall not be deemed to include the sale of insurance. Unless a service company, third-party administrator, or provider is otherwise engaged in the sale of insurance, the insurance laws of this state are not applicable to the service company, third-party administrator, or provider of such a service contract.
