Statutes > Iowa > Title-15 > Subtitle-5 > Chapter-663 > 663-40 663.40 PLAINTIFF RETAINED IN CUSTODY. Until the sufficiency of the cause of restraint is determined, the defendant may retain the plaintiff in the defendant's custody, and may use all necessary and proper means for that purpose.
