43.16 RETURN OF PAPERS, ADDITIONS NOT ALLOWED.
After a nomination paper has been filed, it shall not be returned
to the person who has filed the paper, nor shall any signature or
other information be added to the nomination paper.
A person who has filed nomination petitions with the state
commissioner may withdraw as a candidate not later than the
seventy-sixth day before the primary election by notifying the state
commissioner in writing.
A person who has filed nomination papers with the commissioner may
withdraw as a candidate not later than the sixty-seventh day before
the primary election by notifying the commissioner in writing.
The name of a candidate who has withdrawn or died at a time in
accordance with this section shall be omitted from the certificate
furnished by the state commissioner under section 43.22 and omitted
from the primary election ballot.
