144.42  REPRODUCTION OF ORIGINAL RECORDS.
 To preserve original documents, the state registrar may prepare
 typewritten, photographic, or other reproductions of original records
 and files in the state registrar's office.  Such reproductions when
 certified by the state registrar shall be accepted as the original
 record.
