        144.56  AUTOPSY.
         1.  An autopsy or postmortem examination may be performed upon the
      body of a deceased person by a physician whenever the written consent
      to the examination or autopsy has been obtained from the person
      authorized to control the deceased person's remains under section
      144C.5.
         2.  This section does not apply to any death investigated under
      the authority of sections 331.802 to 331.804.
