231E.10  CONFLICTS OF INTEREST -- LIMITATIONS.
 Notwithstanding section 633.63 or any other provision to the
 contrary, a local substitute decision maker shall not provide direct
 services to or have an actual or the appearance of any conflict of
 interest relating to any individual for whom the local substitute
 decision maker acts in a substitute decision-making capacity unless
 such provision of direct services or the appearance of a conflict of
 interest is approved and monitored by the state office in accordance
 with rules adopted by the department.
