280.8  SPECIAL EDUCATION.
 The board of directors of each public school district shall make
 adequate educational provisions for each resident child requiring
 special education appropriate to the nature and severity of the
 child's disability pursuant to rules promulgated by the department
 under the provisions of chapters 256B and 273.
