309.65 SALE OF GRAVEL BED PROPERTY. Notwithstanding section 309.66, after notice as provided in section 331.305 and a public hearing, the board of supervisors may sell all or part of the property acquired for gravel and other highway improvement materials if the property has been owned by the county for more than five years and the board finds that the property to be sold is not needed for highway improvement purposes or the property is not suitable for those purposes.
