Statutes > Iowa > Title-9 > Subtitle-1 > Chapter-356 > 356-2 356.2 DUTY. The sheriff shall have charge and custody of the prisoners in the jail or other prisons of the sheriff's county, and shall receive those lawfully committed, and keep them until discharged by law.
