12:3-6.Ā Payment of or security for purchase money or rentals for lands below high-water mark
No grant hereafter made, extending beyond the line of high-water mark, shallĀ be in force or operation as to so much thereof as extends below said line ofĀ high-water mark, until the grantee or grantees shall have paid into theĀ treasury of the state such compensation or rentals, or secured to the stateĀ such payment or rentals for the estate in the lands lying below the said lineĀ of mean high-water mark, contained in and conveyed by such grant or lease asĀ provided in section 12:3-7 of this title.
