13:1L-2.Ā Legislative findings and declarations
The Legislature finds and declares that the acquiring, planning, designing,Ā developing, operating and managing of the State parks and forests is in theĀ best interest of the citizens of this State and that the provision ofĀ recreational programs to all segments of the public enhances the public health,Ā prosperity and general welfare and is a proper responsibility of the State. The Legislature further finds and declares that forested lands in the StateĀ should be managed to maximize the public benefit from the State's forestĀ resources.
