13:8-54.Ā Development of facilities for public welfare on state-owned land
Nothing in this act shall be construed so as to prohibit the department fromĀ developing facilities on any State-owned land within a component river area ofĀ the system to provide for the public welfare, including recreational use andĀ enjoyment of such area;Ā provided, however, that such facilities shall beĀ consistent with the relevant classification of the river area and with rulesĀ and regulations promulgated by the department or a local commission pursuant toĀ this act.
