16:2-17.Ā Incorporation;Ā powers and privileges
Any association composed of representatives from Baptist churches may incorporate in the following manner:
At any regular meeting such association shall adopt a name and resolve to beĀ incorporated by such name.Ā The clerk, secretary or person having custody ofĀ the minutes of the association shall make a certificate embodying such resolution, duly verify it by oath, and file the same in the office of the secretary of state.Ā Thereupon such association shall be a corporation by the name stated in such certificate, with the same powers and privileges, and subject to the same restrictions, as if incorporated under article 1 of chapterĀ 1 of this title (s. 16:1-1 et seq.).
