17B:33-4.Ā Service of process on persons acting on behalf of unauthorized insurer
In addition to other methods authorized for the service of process and otherĀ papers upon an unauthorized insurer, such service may be made upon any agent,Ā servant, employee or representative thereof within this State acting in theĀ discharge of his duties.Ā In addition to other forms of activity, any suchĀ person shall be deemed to be acting in this State on behalf of such insurerĀ when he a. solicits or negotiates insurance, or b. makes, issues or deliversĀ any contract of insurance, or c. collects or receives any premium, membershipĀ fees or dues, assessment or other consideration for insurance.
