17:35-20.Ā  Examinations When the commissioner deems it prudent, for the protection of the policy orĀ  certificate holders in this state, he may visit and examine, or cause to beĀ  visited and examined by a competent person appointed by him for that purpose,Ā  any such foreign assessment insurance corporation or association applying forĀ  admission or doing business in this state.Ā  The necessary expense of theĀ  examination made or ordered by the commissioner shall be certified to by himĀ  and paid by the corporation or association examined.
