18A:20-1.Ā Title in board of education
The title to the property, real and personal, of each school district, and the title to all property, real and personal, which shall be acquired for school purposes in the district, is vested and shall vest in the board of education of the district and the board shall succeed to and be vested with allĀ the property, rights and privileges not inconsistent with the provisions ofĀ this act heretofore vested in or possessed by any body heretofore having chargeĀ and control of the public schools or the public school property, of theĀ district, or of the municipality or municipalities composing the district, andĀ the board shall have the supervision, control and management of all suchĀ property.
